First Friday Block Party!

"Music, Art and a darn good time..." that is what the First Friday Block Party in Downtown Renton promises to deliver this Friday, September 4th at 6pm until ? on South Third between Wells and Main.

I love the energy and fun that all of the businesses in the upper reaches of South Third bring to the table for these now monthly events, ten in all and hopefully growing
.
* Happy Delusions * Liberty Cafe * DC Bar & Grill * Tapestry Saloon * GHY Bikes * Tyrannosaurus Records * Calico Cheesecake * Cafe Lure * Common Ground Coffee & Cupcakes

Liberty Cafe will be hosting the artwork of Kristi Hand and the music of "ruggedly handsome" DJ Phil Anthony (he really is good folks) and hopefully the wonderful congo playing of part owner of the cafe, Johnny Uysal himself.

Makalina and the DTRtini

Dc's Bar & Grill will be having a DJ spinning tunes in the later evening (between 9 and 10 and it might even be Nich Sullivan, owner of Tyrannosaurus Records newly opened across the way). They will be featuring the DTRtini - a martini expressly made with Downtown Renton in mind. Be the first on your block to try one.
