Let me take you to the Sunshine at the Market

This week at the Farmers Market - I had to drop by a wee bit earlier. I had birthday cake to make and bake, chores to be run, plans to be made. So I had to make my market pit stop before a lot of the crowds and vendors began to appear. But the market is still a magical place- and today I am going to talk about the SUNSHINE at the Market.

First, there is sun galore in every single big bloom of a sunflower, which are now gloriously for sale at the Market. An entire bunch will ensure you of have a room full of golden rays for the rest of the week. Its like a perpetual summer holiday in a vase.

You can always find your Vitamin C and Vitamin D at the Market. Being outside will chase your cares and woes away and you can't look anywhere there without seeing the color "happy".

Sunshine in a glass is also available for those in need of a rejuvenating libation.

If you think you may be getting just a wee too much of the sun's rays, there is always a tent and a chair waiting for you near the music.

Pat Roland is a Bringer of Sunshine.

Pat makes 25 pounds of playdoh for the Kid's Patch (open to all children from 3-6 pm every Tuesday at the Market) on the weekend. She makes it early so she can make sure that it sets up right and doesn't disappoint the kids. Then Pat loads it up with a basket full of cookie cutters and colors to set out at the booth before the Market begins. If you ever have a chance to drop by and see the kids at play, you will see just how important a task the bringing of the playdoh is to the Market. Pat helps insure that all the kids have a day full of play and good, happy sunny spirits.

Pat is one of the many hardworking people at the Market that makes everyday at the Market a good day.
