I joined in on March 11 th and the topic at hand was about perfecting our vision of a perfectly interlocked community. Everyone who comes to Renton, should get served in Renton. A good business call is when you help your customer through referrals to other businesses in the community, keeping them in our locale, letting them know Renton can meet their needs. Working together we can survive because standing alone this time around may lead to failure. In a time when it is easy to become gripped by fear, we all need each other's help.
Even if you haven't participated before, all businesses are welcome. Kevin Hoult's SBDC blog has a worksheet from this recent meeting that you can use to work out your "elevator speech", but don't let that stop you from just showing up next month and figuring it out from there. In a time of struggle, Kevin's voice is one of encouragement and vision. Come along - everyone needs a boost in the arm now and again = Kevin is just the guy to give it to ya.
