Local Reads

One time teacher at the Black River Highschool here in Renton, crime/mystery author G.M. Ford has left education to pursue a very lucrative and appreciated career in writing. Minnesota Steve (local man about town) put me on to the "Renton" connection with this writer, whose work I have been enjoying for years. I hear one of his book's characters are based on old work compatriots at the highschool, so I am sleuthing to uncover the book. I personally favor Ford's protaganist Frank Corso, featured in the book above, though I laughed and loved the Leo Waterman series, a Seattle Private Investigator and his band of merry (read inebriated) men. Set in Seattle, read the action as you cruise the backstreets and neighborhoods of all the places you know. Last month, Ford had his first stand alone novel, Nameless Night, published. Head to the Renton Public Library (where this new book is already available) and discover this local talent.
