I want to be artistic - lash out with a journalistic force to be reckoned with - or not. Just depends on the day, the amount of rain and if I get out of bed at a reasonable hour.

Librarians are beloved creatures. They help us find books we didn't know how to find and remind us of books that we should consider reading. Black History Month is being celebrated at Renton Public Library with a special cart full of goodies for us to peruse.
This cart is found near the front counter and is full of interesting check-out possibilities for the avid reader and library goer. I immediately took one home. I love being challenged to read new books.
Tomorrow marks the last and final day for voting on Prop.1 in our local special election for whether we keep our library local or farm it out to KCLS. I say, Vote Noand let the librarians who know us all so well continue serving us and our greater community.
More Halloween haunting to be found on Williams Ave. N. between 3rd and 4th. Can you stand it? This is just next door to the house of the Shlegel's that I featured yesterday. Whew - is there ever a lot of Halloween Spirit in that part of town!
I never realized that a sitting gargoyle could be so cute and attractive to me. Either my standards are getting lower or I am just getting that much closer to the undead.
Never too many pumpkins in my estimation.
Okay, so you know that you and the kids are just gonna have to come over to this block a week from this Saturday and check this all out, right? Seemed as if every nook and cranny of the Cedar River trail and the river's edge, as it skirts along Nishiwaki Lane was in use - families out playing, picnicking and sometimes taking a dip.
Perfect boating day - and many were aware of this. Happily aware.
Fisherman were out quietly trolling by, poles at the ready - but mostly I just saw empty nets and still hopeful faces.
This net's owner was asleep on the job - just sitting on the dock, pole in hand and deep into his snooze. Seems like a lot of extra trouble to just give yourself permission to take a nap in the sun.
