PEEPing around Renton

Downtown Renton has gone to the PEEPS - and I am lovin' it. Our first Peep was found at the GHY Bike Shop trying to graduate from peepwheels to a more serious ride. Here's hoping he makes it past the treacherous turf - oh boy.

Peep 'n Bitch has taken over the Happy Delusions usual Sunday Stitch and Bitch, and Mary Clymer likes her new puff dude just fine.

Lilies, bunnies and floral fun - Cugini's

Cugini's looks great at anytime of the year - but when the Easter Lilies are in season, the sweetness of this bloom permeates everything in the store and it easily becomes the best smelling place in town.

Bunnies abound - and the cuteness factor rates high.

I'd like to adopt this fellow - he's like an Easter lookout. He'll know where my brother hides the eggs this Sunday.

The beautiful hues of the begonia can also be found, nestled in amongst the Easter blooms. The color is so enticing and promises to help us believe that Spring has really sprung.


Every basket needs a cheeky chick.

It rains here in Renton, but then we get Rainbows

It must be something written down, agreed upon and signed, but honestly, against the collective Renton will, that it should always happen to rain on Easter. Egg hunts be damned, and cute little dresses with matching Easter bonnets to be drenched. But what we do get are some pretty spectacular Rainbows - like this baby, that came out for a few minutes last night. That, my firends, was our collective Easter gift.

Eggs in the Grass

I love an Easter Egg Hunt. This one, held Saturday at Jones Park by the Seed of Abraham Church at the corner of N. Third and Wells, even had some golden eggs. Kids were out running, hard boiled eggs were being discovered and nibbled upon (the dog was ever so thankful for those). My Mom was with me when we happened upon the happy event. She's a good looker - many unclaimed eggs caught her eye. After our morning coffee, we had to swing back by the park, just to make sure all of the eggs had made their way home. Sorry to say, for my Mom that is, they had. She loves an Easter Egg Hunt too.
